Lead rock climbing course, El Chorro
It was a bit windy and cold early morning I was waiting in Fuengirola for Karina, Guro and Christine – I saw them walking toward my car with their luggages and bags full of food for next 4 days we had to spend in El Chorro on rock climbing. A bit later I discovered that the food that they had in the bags was not just food to fill your stomach, but the highest quality products and organic food to help your body stay healthy and fit – if you study at Atlantis Medisinske Høgskole, so can not be otherwise. They booked one of the biggest and the best apartments in Finca La Campana (el Gato) with fireplace and extensive bedrooms. I was shocked how they’ve been preparing their everyday lunch – imagine lunch-boxes full of delicoius food, vegetables, fruits… just perfectly composed doses of proteins, carbohydrates and fiber – incredible, I have to buy my own plastic lunch box!
Instead of rock climbing we discussed some facts on mediterranean diet and some new trends who came to Spain as elsewhere – shopping baskets full of chips, chocolate-bars, coke, more chips and coke, chocolate milk, post-processed meals for microwave, bread with no bread, more chocolate milk and chocolate bars, just chocolate… Sometimes seeing 12-years children you want to scream to them: run, run, run! keep running, don’t stop! OK, I have to check my folds of fat…
Though we were afraid some of weather it was mostly sunny and we could climb in t-shirts. We’ve got perfect timing especially on the last day of the course: it started rainig when we’ve been driving back to Fuengirola and …stopped raining when we got there.
